Recoil Studio is the professional home of Raven Alexander — music producer, audio post engineer, educator, and DJ based in Ventura, CA.
With over 15 years spanning original music production, film audio post (dialog editing, re-recording mixing, audio restoration), and live DJ performance, Raven brings a full-spectrum approach to every project. Work ranges from solo electronic releases to audio restoration of archival films to college-level curriculum development.
Raven holds an M.Ed. in Adult Education & Training from Argosy University and a B.S. in Computer Science from UC Santa Cruz. He is the co-author of Basic Live Sound Reinforcement: A Practical Guide for Starting Live Audio (Focal Press, 2013).
Two artist projects operate under the Recoil Studio umbrella: Auralinc (political music) and Auralincarnation (full-spectrum electronic and DJ work).
